Default repeater question (

Can the Midland LXT300 be used with a repeater if so what channels

I don't see enough details on the Web to know whether this radio has
that capability at all, but...

the choice of channels will be a local thing. Repeaters will be on
different channels in different places. As I understand it, you'll have
to make arrangements with the repeater owner for access, and I'd imagine
they would be the best people to ask about how to get in with your
radio. (and if it's possible at all)

Two sites with more information:

http://www.g-m-r-s.org/repeaters4gmrs.htm

I think the other reply who flat-out said it wouldn't work thought you
wanted to use the LXT300 to make your own repeater - not that you wanted
to use it to communicate through a repeater that already exists.
Actually, you *could* make a repeater out of *two* LXT300s, but you'd
require some other equipment as well, it wouldn't work very well, and
you probably couldn't get it licensed by the FCC.
