Hi,

The TU-26-B is actually just a tuning unit for the old wartime BC-375
aircraft transmitter, covering the low frequency aircraft band. If it's
unmodified then it won't work as a transmitter - but TU series units were
often used as the basis for home-built transmitters and that is what you
might have. The unmodified TU-26-B won't have any power leads or tubes, it
will consist of switches, variable capacitors and large coils. A photo might
help :-))

Can't help with the Pan-Am 85B.

There's a good mailing list for boatanchor radios on
http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/boatanchors Might help if you're
just starting out in this area of ham radio.

Regards,

Roger Basford/G3VKM
