Retrieve S parameters set of a Murata inductor

Thank you Tom,
I'll take a look to RFSim99 tool in order to convert data availables
on the site like Q factor and impedence versus frequency.

You would do well, too, to keep in mind that the data, especially for
unshielded inductors, is only an approximation. The inductance and
other parameters depend on exactly how you have mounted the part, and
what else is around it. If you expect things in the real world to
conform "exactly" to your model, you will be disappointed. You will
find, for example, that Q changes with temperature, as well as with
frequency, since the wire resistance changes with temperature. Expect
the Q to change about -0.2% per degree C, which may not sound like a
lot until you consider the effect of a 100C temperature rise, which
can happen in some equipment.
If you can use a vector network analyzer to actually measure one of
your parts (or even a set of them, to get statistical information),
that would be wonderful. Many modern VNAs will output an S-parameter
file that you can then use in various software for simulations and
modelling.
Be a little careful about RFSim99--though I recommend it, it does have
some problems in the area of saving and using S-parameter data. In
particular, it expects a particular format for input, and on output,
check carefully that the conversion was done correctly (something
about using 10log(ratio) instead of 20log(ratio) for dB magnitude...).
Cheers,
Tom
