Default better radio to keep: Ten Tecrx 350 or Drake r8b

Hans,
I love my TenTec RX-350 and I've had Drake R7A's and even the
professional model Drake 4245 (which was a commercial version of the
R-7A with a RV-75 Synthesized Tuning module built it). I've never
used a Drake R-8B. However, the TenTec has been the very best
shortwave radio that I've ever owned. As a bonus, you can easily hook
the RX-350 up to your computer's soundcard for DRM reception (I love
listening to Radio New Zealand in high fidelity sound).

The RX-350 allows for super high-fidelity shortwave reception since
you have an almost infintely adjustable bandwidth up to 12 kHz width
and the stability of the receiver is such that you can push the SSB
button and use ECSS to receive excellent fidelity shortwave without
selective fade distortion. This is as good as sync-detection on a
radio that's as stable as the TenTec. However the sync-detector on
the TenTec stinks.

I'd keep the RX-350. I love mine.
