Default howto measure the freq of a received signal

Depends on how accurate a result you want.
I just use a signal generator and zero beat it against the received signal.
Use a counter to measure the sig gen freq. Accuracy all dependent on your
equipment.

But here is the accurate way to do it --- The ARRL sponsers a Frequency
Measuring Contest each year
