Virginia exhibit of shortwave radios
During February and March, the Bowie-based Radio And Television Museum
will host a display of contemporary world band radios entitled
"Today's Short Wave" at the Kingstown and Martha Washington branches
of the Fairfax County Public Library system. While the displays
highlight current examples of commercially available shortwave
receivers, there also will be some classics from yesteryear. In
addition, there will be QSL cards, books, and other materials
"designed to show the viewer world band radio is alive and well in the
age of the internet".....
