Default Yacht Boy 400 -- No Reverse-polarity Protection?

You are right, this radio seems to have no such protection.

I did the same thing myself back then, but first blamed it on the AC
adapter. Then I read about the reversed polarity issue.

I was able to trade it in for an YB-500 with a little in-between. But the
YB-400 is a much better radio in my opinion...

I did something careless (stupid) and plugged the wrong AC adapter into my
YB 400. The polarity wasn't right, and now it's dead. The digital display
and tuner still seem to work, but there's no sound. I've made this mistake
before with other devices, with no harm done. So does anyone know, does the
YB 400 not have this protection? Or clues to what it was I fried?
