How 'bout Victoria BC to Bellingham WA?

The basic rule of the quiz is that a US car driver has to go north
into Canada and then drive south in order to reach a part of the US
that is cut off from direct access by road. Ferries, swimming, and
boats are excluded. However, walking, motorcycling, bicycling,
wheelchairs and even a Morris chair with castors are allowed in order
to cover some unique situtions on the Maine- New Brunswick border.
The Bellingham-Victoria-Port Angeles circuit would work except for
the use of ferries.
The ferry ride to Campobello island in New Brunswick, notable as
the place where FDR summered and contracted polio, therefore excludes
that place.
Although it is a bit of a stretch, in order to get to Alaska, a
driver has to drive north through British Columbia and the Yukon, then
cross into Alaska and then drive south to Anchorage and Homer.
The 90-mile stretch of land in New Brunswick that runs from Grand
Falls to Fosterville is noted for towns, buildings, and outhouses that
are divided by the Canada-US border. There may be a few enclaves of US
territory that are isolated in Canada, but I understand that these are
being connected by new roads, paths, and walkways. Homeland Security
is doing its best to eliminate these anomolies.
This whole thing was started by Cuhulin, who noted that you had to
drive south from Detroit to get to Canada.
