Can 2 of the remote display cables be connected together to make the

I'll be damned! The answer is "Yes!". (I was all prepared to answer
in the negative -- until I went and checked the installation in the
car.) The "north" end of the cable _does_ slip into and snap-locks on
the "south" end of the cable.
Now -- whether or not you'll experience `weird` operations from
using a too-long cable run, well....
I would assume that Icom only warrantees operation up to the length
of the single, longest run cable they offer (approx 12-15 feet?)

I did it in a station wagon for 4 years with no trrouble. The Icom people
swore it would not work. Any guesses as to why they said that? LOL!
OF COURSE!!!! They wanted to sell me the longer cable.

I've always wanted to make my own cable, but need the end
connectors...Could probably make 30 cables for what they charge for
one...The only thing I could think of that would cause a problem is
the ground connection. Supposably it has a screw that tightens the
ground when you install it. I would make sure the ground connects
between the two cables, so it connects to the radio. It may do this by
design if they plug together...Haven't seen one...MK
