Thanks ED for the comments
Luckly we have a few radio amateurs in the parent group - the intention is
to change the 050cs to the 6 meter band and the 340Bs to the 2M bands and
use it for adhoc school trips.

Our school received 5x Midland 70-050C and 2x 70-340 radios and I
would like to get them working for our school buses.
I would appreciate any information and manual you might have on these
radios asnd how to program them.
Those Midland radios require a Midland Proprietary programmer to program
their EEProms. Also, the two 70-340 Midlands are VHF ( 136 - 174MHz)
radios, I believe, while the five 70-050C radios are in the 40 - 50 MHz
range; consequently the five won't be able to work with the other two.
Additionally, don't forget you need a licensed frequency to use even
when
you obtain ability to program those radios.
