"UN-Reliable Machine for the Price"

"Was I on drugs when I wrote that?? Shortly after I wrote the
paragraph above, I began to have paper handling problems. The feeder
would refuse to take a single sheet at a time and would suck in 2, 3,
10, it didn't have any control at all. The problem got so aggravating
that I ended up bashing the machine to pieces with my fist and
throwing it out the door into the yard. I then got a hammer and
smashed it into little bits. That's how much I hated that machine. I
would like to also point out that I am usually a peace loving and
thoughtful person, more prone to working things out than resorting to
violence. In hindsight, I should have just returned it to Costco, but,
I was so angry at the absolutely poor performance of the machine that
I didn't even think of it at the time."

I had an HP printer that had the same problem. Wasn't the driver. It
was the paper feed mechanism inside the box. I just tossed it in the
trash (back when tossing e-waste in the trash was legal, now it is
not; thank you, nanny state!). I should have thought of the above,
instead. I bought an Epson. It lasted for four years, then I bought
another Epson. Epson printers are hard to find and they only make ONE
model that is just a printer, but they're worth driving all over town
for. Epson was the king of the dot matrix printer in the 80s, and they
still make a damn good printer, unlike HP.
