Different, yes... but better or worse? Who can tell? Just because Germany
might have won the war, doesn't mean that they could keep everything. Look
at the former Soviet Bloc? They certainly took a lot of real estate. But
were they able to keep it? Nope. Things change over time. No government
ever lasts indefinately. I'm sure that will include our own, unless we
change with the times. Even the mighty Roman Empire fell, and the British,
Japanese, Spanish, Ottoman, etc. empires, and most of those were around a
lot longer than we have been. And who knows what the world would be like
had none of the above ever existed? Thing is, there's always going to be
some power hungry S-O-B that wants to try to take all the marbles. He may
get a bunch of them for a while, but there's always gonna be the next
power hungry S-O-B to come along and steal them from HIM.
