I remember in the early 80s being able to hear cordless phones on a
cheap AM radio just above 1600 kHz. Then there was the Bearcat 890XLT
that wasn't "supposed" to be able to receive cellular frequencies, but
worked quite nicely at picking up images of those freqs.
