DE - Would point out that there are distinct Age Demographics
for all of these Technologies with a General Alignment of the
Age Groupings : Below 35 Years -and- Above 50 Years -with-
the 36 to 49 Year Olds being somewhere in the middle - to
state the obvious )
With a High Interest in "Everything Digital" Below 35 Years !
And an Resistance to "Everything Digital" Above 50 Years !

Going Digital Means : Embracing the RFID Chip with-in Each-of-Us.
it's a generational thing and the smart money is on the future
and for now the future is digital and that includes am 'hd' radio ~

FWIW, RHF, I am 47, and my interests tend toward the old - shortwave
radio, steam trains, traditional walkie-talkies and telephones, and
lifestyles of earlier days - you know, old stuff. I do like CDs and
DVDs (which are themselves seeming to become dinosaurs), and I like
the idea of digital cameras, although I have yet to buy one.
It seems that every digital gadget these days is designed to make life
more complex even as it make sthings faster. Nested menus and so on,
being hooked up to people 24 hours a day - who needs it?
Sometimes, old just feels better. Simpler and easier. HD FM does
sound like a decent idea - but for AM? Pahh - not worth it.
