It's still not a done-deal - thje FCC left it open for the marketplace
to decide the fate of HD/IBOC - LOL !!!

No, the FCC approved HD as the only system, and rejected petitions to
reconsider from others. The marketplace will now decide how fast the
receivers sell and how HD is used. The fact is that projections look
extremely good and will ahead of the initial estimates or goals from the
June 2006 launch.

Isn't that what I said ? :-) So far, the marketplace has decided,
with few HD Radios sold, and no doubt, many returned for lousy
reception and poor HD channel programming. Project all you want, but
exciting technologies don't have to be pushed onto consumers with a
$500,000,000 ad campaign. You know, as well as I do, consumers will
never be interested - consumers are interested in gaming-systems, cell
phones, Satellite Radio, and the Internet. No one listens with HD
radios !
