I'm wondering if anyone has answer as to why when I program my clarion
radio in my 1982 goldwing aspencade that it looses the memory of the
channels and time when I turn the bike off?
Is there a wire that should be connected to the battery or is there a
rechargeable battery that no longer holds a charge in order for it to
retain the channel and time memory? I know this a a cb discussion site
but I thought maybe someone has a knowledgable answer.

Thanks

Most car stereos have one lead that stays hot (for clock and memory) and
one that's switched. I'd look for an unconnected wire.

What he said. That wire is usually blue on Clarions.- Hide quoted text -

Thanks guys. That gives me something to look for. My buddy has the
same year and model and his does the same thing. He has his wiring
apart at the moment so I'll let him know and see what we can come up
with.
