IIRC - The EU has set 'new' Consumer Electronic Standards
within the last couple of Years which many older Radios and
Receivers do-not-pass and this is the reason for the exculsion

ICOM IR-75 Receiver and many others which were not designed
and built within the last coupe of Years. ~ RHF

? What Evironmental Issue is involved in a Shortwave Receiver ?

YIK - RFI/EMF {Environmental Polution} Technical Standards are
'separate' from the Receiver's Performance Standards as a Radio.

DYK - Shortwave Radios -are- Harmful to the Environment

FWIW - Try buying a Bottle of Beer in the State of California
with the words "CA Cash Refund" Printed on it. -You Can't-
?WHY? cause the State of California requires the words
"CA Cash Refund" to be in All Capital Letters
"CA CASH REFUND" -but- the Beer in-side the Bottle
is just the same.
