Default Best ARRL handbook editions?

If you are interested in tube gear then the ARRL handbooks from the
early 1950s would be good. By the 1970s, the trend was toward solid-
state gear. Of course, the 1940s handbooks are good too, but I like
the ones from the 1950s best.
