Global Warming Benefits -- You may well like it!

Are you bonkers? The Great Barrier Reef is dying.

Nope: Not dying. BleachWatch observers are reporting that reef
flat corals seen to pale slightly in the central and northern Great
Barrier Reef are returning to normal colouration.
If it is dying... then tell me please, what do you think happened
to it during times in Earth's past when it was even much warmer then
now???
If it is dying, is there evidence that the water there has
warmed that much in just past couple of decades???
What do you think the effect of the Medieval Warm Period was on
the reefs of the world?? It was warmer then than it is now. Did the
reefs all die and then pop back into existance when it got cooler???

If the reef is dying, don't you think it is possible that
something else is killing it that has nothing whatsoever to do with
global warming??? Due to the range of human uses made of the water
catchment area adjacent to the Great Barrier Reef, water quality has
declined owing to the naturally acidic sediment and chemical runoff
from farming, and to loss of coastal wetlands which are a natural
filter. Principal agricultural activity is sugar cane farming in the
wet tropics and cattle grazing in the dry tropics regions. Both are
considered significant factors affecting water quality.
It is thought that the mechanism behind poor water quality affecting
the reefs is due to increased light and oxygen competition from algae.
Something else that has caused a great deal of trouble is the Crown
of Thorns starfish. Overfishing of certain species of fish that have
an impact on the reef. Certain micro-organisms that effect corals.

One question that you "True Believers" have a really hard time
answering is.. How did the earth survive all those warmer interglacial
periods before??? At times it has been so warm in Earth's past, that
the earth didn't have any icecaps at all. Much warmer then today. But
guess what???
The Earth is still here. It survived.

So Who Is Bonkers???
