Sure does , and on a same but different but still another story , those
big rigs / semi's /truck trailers /big lorry's ect , i have listened
heaps when they mobile on 40/80m and when i knew of their direction in
which that they were heading /facing and with the vertical on the
bull/roo bar on the front of vehikle nearly ALL the time the signal was
much stronger when THEY were driving away from the rx antenna i was
using , implying the ground/radial/trailer was the actual
raditor?....Paul

With respect to an HF vertical whose base is about 10' above ground,
and a ~ 30' wire counterpoise held just off the ground: Does the
direction that the wire is layed out affect the directional gain/
