Online Opinion - invitation to write Op-Ed piece on Media futures in
Australia May Edition.
Greetings. I am feature's sub-editor for On Line Opinion, Australia's
leading e-journal of social and political debate
www.onlineopinion.com.au. I
am assisting our Editor, Susan Prior, in putting together our May feature on
the Media in Australia. Some elements of our theme include...
Meeting the challenges of the present and the future. Broadband and online
media, TV, radio, newspapers: where are they now and where are they going.
If you could make the laws what would you suggest?
2007 is shaping up to be an interesting year for the regulatory and systemic
change in Australia's media landscape. As we are sure you have some thoughts
on how it will develop, we would like to invite you to contribute an article
of 800 and 2,000 words in an op-ed style to the feature.
References aren't required, but if you have any links you want adding please
include them in the text and we will ensure they are added to the final
document. We publish articles throughout the month of May beginning on
Monday 7th May 2007. We would prefer that articles reach as soon as
possible, however if you are interested in contributing and time is tight
just let us know and we can schedule your piece later in the month.
If you are not familiar with On Line Opinion, or if it has been a while
since you last contributed, we now have over 350,000 members and visitors
reading articles on the site every month, and are now a well-respected
source of online opinion. Our readers tend to be well educated and come from
backgrounds in politics, policymaking, business and science as well as
journalism and academia. They can be an influential audience.
I would much appreciate your letting me know if this is something of
interest. Please consult our conditions of publication via the link at the
bottom of this page.
Regards
Philip Smith M.A.
