I have a Daiwa DK-210 CW keyer. I haven't used it in almost a year.
Today I went to turn it on, and it wouldn't work. This was running

Does your rig work with a straight key? If not, the problems in the radio,
or it's not really in CW mode.
You would be unlikely to see a voltage at the output since the keying
voltage comes from the radio. The keyer just uses a relay or transistor
switch to short the two lines from the transmitter. Since the keying lines
may have a positive or negative polarity, the keyers with transistor
switching have plus and minus outputs - make sure you use the right one. If
you need to check it out, use the ohmmeter to check for resistance change
and again, it is polarity dependent.
You did mention a voltage change, but don't worry - the keyers I am familiar
with run whatever they get through a +5v regulator so that probably isn't
the problem.

Solved the problem. For some odd reason the power jack on my keyer
has the polarity reversed (pos on outside, neg in center). I had
forgotten it was made that way. Switched polarity and it works fine
now.
