Please Clarify the Noise Frequency Area :
VLF 2 kHz {Below the AM/MW BCB}

Question # 1 - Are you using the Radios by themselves
without an External Antenna ?
Question # 2 - Are you using an External Antenna with
the Radios ?
Question # 3 - "IF" You are using and External Antenna :
Describe It - Name - Type - Size - Length - Heigth - ETC
RHF, Actually I may have found the culprit. I had my 2010's antenna
alligator-clipped with about 30 ft. long wire made from 300 ohm
surplus TV twin lead. Once I removed the clip and just used the built-
in whip, much of the noise is gone; at least not terrible noise
anymore. The effect of removing the external wire is a drop of 2 LED
in the signal strength meter with slight drop in reception quality.
In my location, below BCB, there are two stations. One is 231 kHz and
other is 318 kHz. There is a giant 100 kW transmitter on 792 kHz
nearby. And next local station is at 5005 kHz. So, not a whole lot
to hear in tropical band except few from China & India.
By the way my location is Kathmandu, Nepal.
