Default Tube reccomendation

A 1625 is an 807 with a 12 volt filament, if that's the filament voltage
that you have.

I have heard there are some tubes that use plate caps that are basically
the same as a 6L6.
The only readon I want to use something like this is because of the
design of the output transformer
I have. The B+ connection is on the bottom, underside of the chassis, and
the plate connection is on the top.

Thanks all, an 807 would be great. They are tall enough to be almost even
with the top of the transformer.
