Hello Barry:
Most all of the ham amps have two 110 Volt AC windings in the power
transformer. These two separate windings are wired in series like two
batteries in a flashlight. This series connection allows for the 220
Volt AC use.
The two separate windings can also be wired for 110 Volt AC use. They
need to be wired in parallel. This is not a terribly hard thing to do.
I am sure the operators manual will show how both the 220 and 110
connections are made. Manuals can be bought off the internet, just type
in Dentron Clipperton into
www.Google.com
