Default Should I use a balun?

I don't think you need one Bob, If you have a little extra footage on your
feed line this will do the same thing: wind about six turns around a 6-7
inch coffee can, ppull the can out and tape the coil up really good with
electrical tape and then raise your antenna back up in the air. You will
have accomplished the same thing as a balun 1:1. Every time I ever did
this(many-many times over the past 30 years) it also lowered my swr a bit.
