Hey thanks for the link. I was a fan of KPEN and KIOI back in the 60's
James Gabbert and Gary Gielow WERE real INOVATORS

The station was notable for being the first licensed FM station in the
nation to broadcast in stereo. KPEN's technological achievements wer
recognized by the Electronic Industry Association, the FCC, and President
John F. Kennedy.

I used to listen on a Scott stereo FM tuner and they would transmit on one
channel only for a few minutes during which I'd adjust the transformers for
minimum sound on the other channel. Great fun and sounds
