In his case, he went through quite a lot of examinations before the
diagnosis was made so I doubt it was self diagnosis. Frankly most of
us are clinically insane one way or another, if not many ways, so I

Since Asperger's is is described as a mild form of Autism, it leaves
a lot of doors open for diagnosis. In fact any circumscribed area of
interest: cars, computers, trains, meteorology and astrononi...etc.

Any nerd characteristics is certainly very suspect. Anyone who dives
into one particular subject. Doing math is certainly a health hazard.

I sometimes wonder if all this really comes from some dissatisfaction
by others who would like to get closer to the sufferer, but doesn't
quite catch their imagination. Hence it's as much other people's
problem as the sufferers. There should be an Asperger's contact
deficiency syndrome...
