the extended rx? Doesn't seem to be in the menu, and its not a
problem with the band scan limits. I reset it again, and the extended
receive didn't come back. Any ideas?

According to:

you need to do a 'Master Reset', as described, when turning on again,
assuming you've done the hardware mod in the first place.
