Look at the total with shipping. If you get $10 more from Amazon you
seem to get free shipping.

What is the total band coverage? Is it likely to be sold on domestic
shortwave stations or are they out of its frequency range?

With a radio in this price range, having digital readout might be
something of a disadvantage due to noise. However, it might make a
better gift to a newbie than the $10 Bell & Howell if that's still
around since it is easier to tune.


$4 or $5 more will get you the cx-768.

I don't know anything about these radios, except at that price, and an
alligator clip hooking the whip to a long wire, you should get some SW
stations, and for as cheap as you possibly can ...
