Question About the "Zap Trapper" {Coaxial}

Is This -or- Is This Not a One-to-One Line Isolator (UnUn) ?

Â*.
=OR= Is it simply a High-Tech Lightning Arrestor ?

Â*.
Should the "Zap Trapper" always be located at the Antenna Head
or better yet 'near' {ON} the Ground Rod ?
Â*.
=OR= Can the "Zap Trapper" be located in the Radio Shack close
to the Radios and Equipment it is supposed to 'Protect' ?

Per Antenna SuperMarket - "The included 'Zap Trapper'
Voltage Surge Protector should be installed directly
at the Rear of the Receiver."

Â*.
NOTE - The Alpha Delta Delta-C Center Insulator has a
Arc-Plugâ„¢ Static Protector built into the Head Unit of
the Antenna far away for the Radio Shack.

Once Again - Does the "Zap Trapper" also function as
a One-to-One (1:1) Coax Cable Line Isolator (UnUn) ?

What do you think it is? Read the literature you posted!- Hide quoted text -

DX Ace,

That I have -but- I would like some confirmation
and some feed back on where to use it in the
best manner.

In my humble opinion -if- one is using it directly
behind the Radio the Alpha-Delta Antenna
Switch is the better 'device' to use. IF mounted
out on the Ground Rod the the "Zap Traper" would
be my choice.

But the Question Possed to me was is it a
Line "Isolation" Matching Transformer ?

My reply was : I Did Not Think So . -but- I could be wrong
- I guess the next step will be to call Antenna SuperMarket
and Ask them. ~ RHF
