For those who like to read about Collins Gear and Old Tube Radios.

* This reads like a Museum Description instead of the usual eBay Ad.

That listing may be counterproductive to the seller; the fonts and
type sizes chosen for the description are way too large for easy
reading and scrolling in my browsers takes too many resources
(backing-store thrashing, etc.) due to the exceedingly long
length. Stock photos do little to depict the actual unit at
auction and the tiny low-res photos at the bottom are nearly
useless for examining the condition. Why didn't the seller
create links to supplementary material and post decent resolution
images?

I own a 51J-4 and do consider it a fine instrument however.

Michael

It's a fine receiver, but the seller is doing himself a disservice by
flooding the listing with all that that copy-pasted text. Most
prospective buyers of a specialty radio like that know the technical
details or know where to read it. Several really good closeups of the
receiver being sold and a written description of how the radio
actually performs, what mods were made, etc., would help prospective
buyers a lot.

If all the pieces are there I can get it working 100%. That's a hell
of a price.
