Default Ft-857d And ATAS 120a

I would like to here from anyone who as also used this combination and
if they have moved away from the atas infavour of other types of
screwdriver antennas.

I am using an older set-up than yours: a Yaesu FT-100D with an ATAS-100. The
antenna is mounted on the back hood of a C-series Mercedes, close to the back
windscreen, at its center. The ground side of the RF connector is connected to
the car body.

SWR is almost 1:1 on all bands except on 10 MHz (where I use a very small MFJ
tuner). Performance is incredibly good. I am particularly impressed of its
behavior on 40-meters.
