I noticed yesterday afternoon their transmitter went off and on again a
few times. Today as I write this they are breaking up every few minutes
it seems. Transmitter power seems to be going up and down when that
happens.

Certainly is relevant to rec.radio.shortwave(?)

640 kHz is... ah... well, you get the idea.

I have no idea what you mean.

The AM broadcast band in just below the lowest SW band and uses the same
type of modulation the international broadcaster use.

Higher the frequency, lower the wavelength: shortwave... nuffink to do
with "type of modulation".

That woud be 'shorter the wavelength', not lower the wavelength.

You'll get the hang of it.

Wow! One of the boys here is paying attention.

I went fishing, an' I got A Bite.

dxAce, I'm surprised you took the worm.

My point is: 640 kHz is "mediumwave".

This is rec.radio.shortwave.

Open wide, and Y-A-W-N.
