Default Stewart-Warner R404 "The Little Colonel" Schematic

First, recap the radio . most critical here , C14 is .006 mfd, make sure
its not a higher value. You can lower it to .003 or .002 probably and it
will increase the treble, but watch for screeching at louder volumes if you
lower the value.

Check that C7 is .006 value also. Check that C4 is 260mmf (pf) and not
higher value. If its original and not changed, its probably OK since its a
mica.

If all those are OK and you want to get more treble, reduce C6 to .01mfd.
This will cut bass a little, making the high end stronger in proportion.
On some sets where there is not enough bass, I raise this value.

Problem - not enough treble or too much bass.
