Arbitron delays PPM rollout.
The reasons include MRC troubles, growing subscriber discontent and
continued difficulties in reaching in-tab targets. Arbitron has announced
it will delay the rollout of PPM in nine markets. New York, Nassau-Suffolk
and Middlesex-Somerset-Union which were set to be the next markets for
launch at the end of December, will be delayed until September 2008. Other
markets getting pushed back are Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco, San
Jose and Dallas.

This news was met with cheering at work; nearly everyone in major markets
realized Arbitron had major issues in rolling out the PPM and it was the
pressure of subscribers that made Arbitron revise its roll out schedule so
the problems in the system can be worked out with the subscribers and the
MRC.
