Obviously this needs explaining in words of few syllables.
The "problem" is that someone posted about HD Radio in an Australian radio
newsgroup. As I understand it, only the US and Brazil have been stupid
enough to adopt the HD Radio technology, so the rest of us simply don't
care. It's the people cross-posting who are the uneducated "idiots". Just
keep away from groups that are not part of your silly technology is all we
ask and then we won't have to respond in yours.
Simple really.
You obviously haven't been paying attention to events there, have you?
Here's a link for you:

I suggest you scroll down where it says:
On 14 October 2005, the Minister for Communications, Information
Technology and the Arts announced a framework for the introduction of
digital radio in Australia.
The services are to be initially established in the six state capital
cities (Adelaide, Brisbane, Hobart, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney) by 1
January 2009.
All national (ABC/SBS), commercial and wide-area community
broadcasters in those cities will be able to broadcast their existing
analogue services in digital or broadcast new services if they wish.
Further consideration is also being given to the adoption of more
spectrum-efficient technology for digital radio to enable broadcasters
to provide even better sound quality and new services. This may mean,
however, that the current generation of digital radio receivers may
not be compatible with the standard that is finally adopted in
Australia.
