John,
Traps make no sense as they just waste power.
It is so much more efficient to base antenna lengths in multiples
of a wavelength especially when using top band.

You sound like me, when I had the "back 40+ acres." City dwellers
(indeed, myself in my present situation) need one antenna to do it all
.... (actually, I got 3 separate stealth antennas doing the job--but you
get the idea ... )

I know, you recommend the "magnetic loops/etc.", however, it is all
about choice.
