The Norton or Thévenin equivalent circuits seem capable of positive
reflection coefficients.
Either can be positive, negative, or zero depending
on the value of the output impedance compared to Z0.
Would you please quote a reference that addresses
the subject of reflection coefficients from Thevenin
or Norton equivalent sources?
To the best of my knowledge, there is absolutely no
requirement that a Thevenin or Norton equivalent
circuit exhibit the same reflection coefficient
at the circuit it replaces.
