Default Sony car shortwave radio again -- Performance question

MC,

I bought my two from the local auto store called "SuperCheap" they may
be willing to do business international however not sure of anyone else
locally.

That said, I did a google on GT260 "Australia Only" search and found this:

http://www.ryda.com.au/Sony-CDX-GT16...p/cdxgt160.htm -
AUD$ 130

http://www.ryda.com.au/Sony-CDX-GT26...p/cdxgt260.htm -
AUD$ 170

http://www.ryda.com.au/Sony-CDX-GT36...p/cdxgt360.htm -
AUD$ 187

Now when I attempted to proceed through the check out, it only allowed
me to select "Australia" for country. But maybe attempt to send them an
email to see if they may do any international order ?????

Regards
Mark

Back in 2005 I was in a similar position in that I had the options of
getting the radio from Asia or Canada/US. However I was totally surprised
to see these radios selling at my local auto store and why I quickly
snapped up two, I've just checked the original boxes they came in and I
actually purchased the (GT260 and GT360) not the GT160 as I originally
thought

Interesting! Do you know of any mail-order suppliers in Australia that
might have this radio and be willing to send it to America? I just checked
Jaycar Electronics and they don't seem to sell car audio.
