Huh? Like I said... the components are under the grounded metal
shield. The metal shield is sitting on the bubble wrap. You need to
look at the photo more closely... or get a new prescription for your
glasses! You really are something... lol



You didn't answer the question. Is that ESD bubblewrap?

2 problems I see:

1. If it's ESD bubblewrap, then it's conductive. Which means it can't be in
there permanently.

2. If it's not ESD bubblewrap, then you introduce the possibility of ESD,
especially in cold and very dry climates. Being that that is a mobile rig, the
problem of static is worse because you always can discharge yourself as you get
in or out of the car. If you ever go to a gas station, you see signs about that.

As far as the picture, all it shows is that an antenna is connects. Nothing
else.

But that is all I was getting at. You are one paranoid fool.
