I need to address this, because Cecil has frequently declared all

Since there is no such thing as an ideal voltage source,
my declaration seems to hold a grain of truth.
I often use an ideal voltage source in series with a resistance for
illustration of transmission line phenomena.
Unless you can actually demonstrate an ideal voltage source,
it still walks like a Thevenin equivalent and quacks like
a Thevenin equivalent.
