Check out the WWV time signals. The 10MHz signal is pretty powerful

Seconded, and try receiving without the tuner in line, just stick the
wire in the center of the antenna connector, making certain it doesn't
short to the ground, and do it with the radio on, there should be a jump
in the noise level when you make contact.
