Hook the rig up to 12 volts, and throw the main circuit breaker.
Pain in the neck, resetting clocks etc....but it will answer if noise from
some gizmo in your house, or utilities/neighbor to blame.

As mysterious as the the noise came it left, I had this racket on and
off going on a daily basis where I actually though it would end radio
for me, it almost sounded like a car with bad wiring running next to
my radios, so far for about 4 days now its been real quiet, maybe it
was an electrical problem somewhere????
Not sure, I even went as far as throwing the mains off and hooking up
the radio to a battery....same noise, the only hint of a cure was my
old trusty Ten Tec Triton's noise blanker...superb!

Anyway, I hope it stays quiet and I want to thank all the guys that
replied with thoughts and help.
