Hello,

Was wondering if there is someone who might be kind enough to guide me
thru the installation process for RxWings.
I guess off-line would be best.
I tried contacting the author, but haven't heard anything back.

I don't want to appear dumber than I probably am, but-

Am in my 70's now, and I guess this "stuff" is a bit more confusing to me
than it once was. Anyway, I'll use that for my excuse.

I have a JRC NRD 545, and am running XP.

I have downloaded and unzipped the 2A and 2B Folders from the RxWings
site..

I have the unzipped files in the same folder on my desktop that the
downloaded files came in.
I have also deleted the Unzipped original folders 2A and 2B.

Now I'm lost.

The only icon with setup as a name, asks me to insert the Disk.
What disk ?

If someone could perhaps guide me thru, in excruciating detail, how to
get the program installed, and running, would be most appreciative.

BTW: I looked, but couldn't find any: is there a Forum or Group
somewhere devoted to RxWings ?

Thanks,
Bob

Hi Bob, I found this link for a user guide:
http://www.nic.funet.fi/pub/ham/rigctrl/RxWings2.pdf
After unzipping the folders 2A and 2B,did you see zipped files named
RxWing1.cab up to RxWing6.cab ?
they also have to be unzipped into the same folder, I also clicked on
the icon RxWings2 na this seems to be
where you do your setup from ? Hope this helps.............Frank

Bob, update for you : unzip the orignal folders 2A and 2B into a new
folder
and double-click the setup icon to install (I have tried and it works)
DO NOT UNZIP RXWING 1 TO 6 you will find a shortcut on the start
menu...................Frank
