Default Radio is dying (and it's about time)

Radio is dying, still 95% report to listening to AM-FM radio. Though I
question time spend listening numbers. The new PPM meters should reveal more
accurate information than the old paper diaries. The industry has stopped
investing in it's future, mainly their people. Voice tracking, eliminating
midday or am drive shows in favor of national content is the future. Station
contest are now played on a national level. Music driven Fm radio has
become a jukebox with voice tracking and generic weather and traffic. Unlike
other jukeboxes listeners have no control over what selections are played.
And other gadgets will do a better job with weather/traffic reports.
Radio has lost touch with its listeners and community. It's total focus is
targeted demographics that can be sold to advertisers and has become an ad
revenue model with contour borders. Radio forgot it's in the entertainment
business.
