Default Radio is dying (and it's about time)

Radio is dying, still 95% report to listening to AM-FM radio. Though I
question time spend listening numbers. The new PPM meters should reveal more
accurate information than the old paper diaries. The industry has stopped
investing in it's future, mainly their people. Voice tracking, eliminating
midday or am drive shows in favor of national content is the future. Station
contest are now played on a national level. Music driven Fm radio has
become a jukebox with voice tracking and generic weather and traffic. Unlike
other jukeboxes listeners have no control over what selections are played.
And other gadgets will do a better job with weather/traffic reports.
Radio has lost touch with its listeners and community. It's total focus is
targeted demographics that can be sold to advertisers and has become an ad
revenue model with contour borders. Radio forgot it's in the entertainment
business.

Scooter - Not Only Radio and TV too. ~ RHF

Last Sunday Afternoon and I turned-on the TV to catch the
Noon News from one of the Sacramento, CA TV Stations.
Check Channels : 3, 6, 10, 13, 31, 40, and 58
None had any 'Local' Noon News Broadcast and
not even a National News Broadcast at Noon.

SAD TV HAS BECOME THE WORLD OF INFO-MERCIALS.

-ps- Got to admit that some of the Info-mercials are more
Entertaining then some of the regular TV Programs.
.

You idiot. Those people quit doing news 20 years ago.
