Default New Sabin (W0IYH) Book

QRZ.COM "W0IYH" has a picture of my new book "Discrete-Signal Analysis and
Design".

It is intended for class-room students and advanced at-home experimenters
with strong interests in
undergraduate-level mathematics. It discusses in a conversational style an
introductory (see page 2) tutorial coverage of many aspects of the title
subject. The book includes a compact disk that contains a virtually-free
copy of the world-famous and very sophisticated program MATHCAD, version
14.0. This program can be used in a very elementary mode at home by new
beginners and also in a very advanced mode by mathematically-sophisticated
engineers. The software has a perpetual lifetime, and can be used "forever"
for a multitide of applied-math calculation projects. Familiarity and
acquired skill with the math program can in themselves be a very rewarding
experience. The program has excellent graphing abilities, and the results
can be printed, archived and published
(and e-mailed) "forever". An on-disk "Mathcad User Guide" helps us to get
started.

Page one of the Introduction Chapter contains the following:

"We can never become too well educated about fundamentals and about our
aiblity to view them from a mathematical perpective. The modern emphasis on
math literacy is right on target."

This is the main idea of and the basic reason for the book.

See the Wiley website www.wiley.com for more information about the book and
the suggested list price. Other online bookstores may have the
book-plus-disk at a reduced price. Be sure that the disk is included in the
price.
