FWIW - ThunderBird is not as easy as using Google Groups.

Google Groups allows me to see the entire Message Thread in the Tree
format and follow the flow of the exchange of Ideas and Information better.

Thunderbird or Netscape News has thread view; just click on the
rectangular bubble icon to the left of the "Subject" bar in the
title pane.
