Mr. Gasbag is not really a conservative. He's just an actor playing
one on the radio. He started his career in radio by playing Jeff
Cristy, a wanabee cool rock 'n' roll DJ. The untalented slob got fired
twice as Jeff Cristy.

You ain't worth your salt as a DJ if you have not been fired several
times.

Fearing he might actually have to work for a living Mr. Gasbag re-
invented himself into Rush Limbaugh the ultra-conservative and to his
surprise the public bought it.

Yeah, millions and millions who listen weekly, generally making the "Rush
Station" stand at or near the top of local ratings all over the nation.

Expanding his role to that of errand boy for the corporate elite
rulers, he has laughed all the way to the bank ever since.

He's entertaining.

That, he is, and more power to him. He's pretty much taken the base of
the Republican party over the cliff. They'll be wandering in the
wilderness for a few years... good place for them to be.

The so called Republicans today aren't really traditional Republicans at
all. The old style Republicans were generally quite socially and
economically conservative. The ones now run up the deficit to 9.4 trillion,
support confiscatory taxation, shredding of the Bill of Rights, and all
kinds of other socialistic ideals. Barry Goldwater, Eisenhower, Reagan, and
all of them would be rolling in their graves.
